Room Soundproofing in Cairo

Room soundproofing is a complete system that stops street and neighbour noise from entering your room and keeps your own sound from escaping. Silence delivers it in Cairo for bedrooms, studios, gaming rooms and home cinemas, using high-density rockwool, soundproof gypsum board and rubber layers, plus sealed doors and windows.

What problems does room soundproofing solve?

How does it work? Our process

  1. Site visit & noise diagnosis

We pinpoint where the noise comes from: shared wall, ceiling, floor, door or window. Every space is different, so the solution is always custom.

  2. Solution design & detailed quote

Based on the visit we send a detailed quote that spells out the proposed system and materials before any work starts.

  3. Building the isolation layers

A metal or timber frame decoupled from the original wall to cut vibration transfer, filled with high-density rockwool and closed with soundproof gypsum board, plus rubber (MLV) damping layers.

  4. Sealing the weak points

A small gap under a door or a leaky window ruins the whole system, so we fit gaskets, automatic door bottoms and window solutions.

  5. Finishing & décor

We finish with paint, wood or clean decorative design so the room looks finished, not like a construction site.

  6. Testing & fine-tuning

After installation we test incoming noise, outgoing noise and vibration, and fine-tune if needed.

Which materials do we use?

Final materials are chosen after the site visit, based on the noise source and the space.

Room soundproofing: frequently asked questions

Does regular wall foam block street and neighbour noise?

No. Commercial "egg-crate" foam only treats echo inside the room. It is too light to block sound. To stop outside noise you need dense materials such as rockwool and gypsum board.

How do I soundproof against noisy neighbours in an apartment?

By building a double wall on the shared wall: a vibration-absorbing metal frame filled with rockwool and covered with one or two layers of gypsum board to break the sound path.

Will soundproofing make my room smaller?

Yes, slightly. Professional wall systems need roughly 5–10 cm per treated wall to fit the air gap, frame and insulation layers.

How much does room soundproofing cost in Egypt?

There is no fixed price: it depends on the system type, material density, room size and doors and windows. We quote precisely after a site visit; see the pricing page for the cost factors.

Is soundproofing the door and window enough?

It fixes the main weak points, but if sound travels through wall or ceiling vibration (like footsteps) you will also need wall insulation.
